On 2/13/05 at 0013 the Milton Fire Dept. was dispatched to a reported unknown type fire in the 700 block of Hepburn St. PD arrived on scene and reported a well involved garage fire with exposures. Chief 1503(Gaugler) arrived on scene and assumed command and advised fire was beginning to extend to the side D exposure which was a two story garage with apartments.

Engine 15-1 arrived and laid 300 ft. of 5" supply line from a nearby hydrant. Crews attacked the fire with two 2" attack lines with the first line protecting the exposure. PP&L was requested to the scene for live power lines that dropped along side D. After the bulk of the fire was knocked down crews entered to extinguish a vehicle parked inside the garage and an attached workshop on side C.

The garage was a total loss with minor extension and exterior damage to the side C exposure. Also destroyed in the blaze was a 1968 Ford Mustang GT-300 which was parked inside. The state Fire Marshall was requested to investigate the blaze which does not appear suspicious.

Units on scene: Chief 1503, Engine 15-1, Engine 15-2, Truck 15-1, Rescue 15-1, Utility 15-1, Milton Ambulance, Milton PD, and PP&L.
