IRVONA - A two-alarm fire broke out at 11:30 p.m. on March 24, 2005 along the Tyrone Pike (state Route 729) near Ansonville, Irvona RD.

The two story home was well involved when firefighters arrived on scene and water was a problem, which resulted in the home being a total loss. There were no reported injuries. The cause in under investigation by the by the state police fire marshal and Irvona Fire Co.
