Rescue Dept Air Boat
The apparatus is
a 16-foot aluminum hull airboat, with a polymer clad bottom. The airboat is
powered by a Chevy Marine 502 HP engine and a 3 blade PowerShift composite
prop. The boat will be used to respond to rescue calls in the Everglades,
Biscayne Bay, to incidents during urban flooding and large warehouse fires
for ventilation purposes. The boat has the capacity to carry 3 crew members
and up to 6 patients.
